Your payroll system has been updated with important compliance changes for Australia and Canada. Here's what's new:
đĻđē Australia - New Financial Year Updates (Effective 1 July 2025)
Superannuation Changes

Superannuation Guarantee increased to 12% (from 11.5%)

Quarterly super contribution cap reduced to $62,500 (from $65,070)
Applied automatically for employees using default settings
Tax Updates
âŠī¸ Tax Rates and thresholds for FY25-26 remain as per previous financial year
âŠī¸ Medicare levy thresholds remain as per previous financial year

Study and Training Support Loans (STSL) thresholds updated per ATO guidance
Reporting Changes
â° Lump Sum E reporting threshold removed for new financial year - no payroll system impact
Reminder that the Lump Sum E threshold is being removed, and any back payments older than 12 months must be reported as a Lump Sum E, even if it's only $5.

Updated ETP and redundancy payment thresholds (reference values - you must manually apply correct amounts)

Important: Complete these actions before your first July pay run to ensure compliance.
If you have employees with custom superannuation rates (not 11.5%) or custom quarterly caps (not $65,070), these settings were not automatically updated.
How to check:
- Go to Employees â Saved Searches â Add
- Search for employees with Superannuation Rate â 12% or Quarterly Threshold â 62500
- Review results and update manually where new FY25-26 rates should apply
- Verify your payroll staff can access the Employees section
- If you use Administrator roles for payroll, confirm the Payroll Centre tab is still accessible
