👉 Action Required: Review Key Actions After Updates
- Key Actions After Updates: Understanding Bundle Impacts
- Australian Customers: Ensure Payday Super configurations (PCSTs, pay frequencies, super remittance workflows) are validated for ongoing post-July 1, 2026 compliance.
- Canadian Customers: Review CPP and EI year-to-date balances for employees who have reached or are approaching the applicable annual maximums, particularly where a pay period began in the prior calendar year and the payment date occurred in the current year, to confirm the applicable annual maximums have not been exceeded.
🌍 All Markets
Tax Year Locking (NEW FEATURE): Administrators can now lock a completed payroll tax year to prevent inadvertent retrospective changes. Once locked, pay runs, adjustments, and year-end submissions for the locked year are read-only, supporting audit and compliance requirements. Learn how to configure this feature in How to Lock and Unlock Tax Years in Payroll.
🇦🇺 Australia
- STP Map/Reduce Performance Refactor: Significant performance improvements to Single Touch Payroll (STP) processing using a Map/Reduce architecture. Organisations with large employee counts (1,000–8,000+ employees) will experience materially faster STP submission processing times.
- Salary Sacrifice Super: Resolved a calculation issue where Salary Sacrifice contributions were not correctly reducing the ordinary time earnings (OTE) base used for Superannuation Guarantee (SG) calculations in specific pay scenarios.
- STP Error Capture Improvement: Enhanced error logging and user-facing messaging for STP submission failures, enabling payroll administrators to identify and resolve submission issues more efficiently.
🇨🇦 Canada
- Lump Sum Tax Rate: Corrected an issue affecting certain lump sum payment thresholds to ensure the applicable flat-rate withholding is applied rather than a progressive tax rate calculation.
- CPP/EI Annual Maximum: Corrected CPP and EI calculation logic for payrolls where the pay period begins in the prior calendar year and the payment date falls in the current year, ensuring applicable annual maximums are applied correctly.
- CPP1 to CPP2 Transition Tax: Corrected an income tax calculation issue affecting some employees transitioning from CPP1 to CPP2, ensuring enhanced CPP contributions are appropriately accounted for in the tax calculation in accordance with CRA guidance.
- Create Remittance Gross Pay: Corrected an issue where certain earnings, such as commissions, were excluded from the gross pay displayed on the Create Remittance screen. Payroll gross pay totals and remittance amounts were not affected.
- T4 Schema Fallback Improvement: Enhanced T4 generation for employers who need to produce T4s before the current-year CRA schema is available. The system will now use the latest available schema to support T4 XML file generation.
- Customer/Project/Task Allocation: Corrected an issue where Customer, Project, or Task values assigned to pay details were cleared during the Process Payslip calculation. These values are now retained throughout payroll processing.
🇳🇿 New Zealand
- Update Leave Rates Blank Page: Resolved a UI issue where the Update Leave Rates screen displayed a blank page for certain employee configurations, preventing administrators from updating leave rates.
- ESCT Field Clearing: Corrected a data entry issue where the Employer Superannuation Contribution Tax (ESCT) rate field was not clearing correctly when switching between employees, which could result in an incorrect ESCT rate being saved.
🇬🇧 United Kingdom
- SSP Salary Reduction Overpayment: Corrected a Statutory Sick Pay (SSP) calculation error where employees were receiving overpayments. Calculations now correctly reduce the Normal Time by the hours of SSP.
- DPS P6 Enrolment Regression: Resolved a regression introduced in a prior release that was preventing certain employees P45 from being correctly updated via the HMRC Data Provisioning Service (DPS) P6 notification process.
📝 Customer Recommendation
📌 Australian Customers: Validate STP reporting following the Map/Reduce performance refactor, particularly for organisations with 1,000+ employees.
