Overview
ZonePayroll includes standard saved searches you can adapt to your business needs. This article walks you through creating your own version of a standard search using PR-Employee Payroll Details as an example.
Sample scenario: You want a report showing the payroll details of employees hired in 2026.
Note: Using Save As creates a new copy of the search, so the original ZonePayroll search stays unchanged.
Steps
- Navigate to Payroll > Australia > Employee: Payroll Details.
- Click the Edit this Search button.
- Set the Search Title field to a name that clearly describes the search, so it's easy to identify and track later.
Example: Employee Payroll Details for 2026 Hires - On the Criteria tab, add the filter Hire Date.
- In the pop-up window, set Hire Date to is after 31/12/2025.
- Click Set.
- Click Save As.
Optional: Make the Search More Flexible
If you'd like to change the Hire Date on the report itself instead of editing the search each time:
- Go to the Available Filters tab.
- Add the filter Hire Date.
- Check the Show in Filter Region box.
- Click Add.
- Save the search.
The Hire Date filter will now appear at the top of the report, so you can adjust the date range whenever you run it.
⚠️ Important: Customized saved searches are not maintained or supported by ZonePayroll. Once you create your own version of a search, the person who created it is responsible for maintaining it and troubleshooting any issues.
